Witness life on the banks of the mighty Mekong River, lap up the sun at one of Vietnam most secluded islands and lose yourself in the narrow winding streets of Hoi An. Explore the cultural heritage of Hue, the colonial style of Hanoi and the vast open expanse of Ha Long Bay.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Ho Chi Minh City. At Tan Son Nhat International Airport, our guide will greet and accompany you to your hotel, where (s)he will offer advice and assistance as required before a welcome dinner.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi tunnels and Tay Ninh. In the morning we have a tour to the Cao Dai temple in Tay Ninh followed by an afternoon trip to the Cu Chi tunnels.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta. Depart for the Mekong Delta. We take a boat around the tributaries of the mighty Mekong River to give us a proper perspective of Delta life such as floating market, bonsai garden, orchid fruits. Overnight in a local homestay.
Day 4: Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City. Return to Ho Chi Minh, visiting the snake farm on the way. The remainder of afternoon is free.
Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang. This morning we fly to Nha Trang and transfer to the idyllic beach resort of Whale Island. Here you can do as little or as much as you desire from snorkeling or diving on the nearby reefs to lazing on the beach in the crescent-shaped lagoon!
Day 6: Whale Island. Free time on Whale Island.
Day 7: Whale Island - Hoi An. Today we return to Nha Trang before flying north to Hoi An via Danang.
Day 8: Hoi An. Morning orientation tour of Hoi An historic old quarter. The remainder of the day is free to wander around the narrow windy streets of this charming of fishing town.
Day 9: Hoi An - Hue. Free morning in Hoi An. After lunch we drive north through the Hai Van (Ocean Cloud) Pass to Hue.
Day 10: Hue. We have a full day's cycling around Hue including the Citadel and Dong Ba riverside market. We also cycle into the surrounding countryside to explore some of the Royal Tombs and the Thien Mu Pagoda.
Day 11: Hue - Hanoi. Morning flight to Hanoi. In the afternoon we have a chance to walk around the city Old Quarter.
Day 12: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay. Drive to Ha Long Bay for a cruise around the spectacular bay aboard our very own luxury junk. We explore the secluded bays and lagoons as well as some of the larger islands with their impressive caves. Overnight on the boat.
Day 13: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi. In the morning there will be the opportunity to do some kayaking before returning to the harbor got the drive back to Hanoi. Remainder of the day is free.
Day 14: Depart - Hanoi. Tour ends after breakfast.
