Your itinerary
Day 1: Chiang Mai/Mae Hong Son (-/-/-)
Morning transfer to the airport for own morning flight to Mae Hong Son. Arrive Mae Hong Son and transfer to your hotel. Take a boat trip in the afternoon along the Pai River to the Karen Long-Neck village of Ban Nam Piengdin. Return to Mae Hong Son in the afternoon.
Day 2: Mae Hong Son - Pai (B/-/-)
In the morning visit the monastery Wat Phra That Doi Kong Moo, with its magnificent views of the valley and the mountains stretching into Myanmar, and the lake-side twin Burmese-style monasteries of Wat Jong Klang and Wat Jong Kham. Then set off on a full day trip through some of the most beautiful countryside in Mae Hong Son. First stop at the sacred Fish Cave, home to many giant carp, and then continue to Tham Lod, a large limestone cave with a wide stream running through it. Besides the main chamber, there are three side chambers to explore. The second cavern can be visited by using a raft to cross the stream. Continue to the remote town of Pai for overnight.
Day 3: Pai - Chiang Mai (B/-/-)
Morning at leisure to explore by youself some of Pai's main attractions, such as the nearby hill-tribe villages, waterfalls and local hot springs. Or sinply relax and unwind in this peaceful small town. Then continue the journey to Chiang Mai. Stop en route to visit a Karen hill-tribe village and orchid farm.
Day 4: Chiang Mai (B/-/-)
At leisure until time for transfer to the airport or train station for the next destination. End of services
