The island is part of the marine national park that bears its name, it has a rugged hilly terrain with waterfalls and steep cliffs and rises to a height of 744 meters. Still largely covered by virgin rainforest it offers excellent opportunities for hiking along the extensive network of trails which cover much of the island. With sandy beaches, clear blue sea and good coral Ko Chang is an ideal place to escape the crowds.
Your itinerary
Day 1: Bangkok / Trad / Ko Chang (-/-/-)
You have two options to choose from, either take the short flight to Trad or, with an morning transfer (approximately 06:00-07:00) from your hotel in Bangkok, take the bus for the 400-km drive. Either way, upon arrival in Trad transfer to the pier for the 30-minute ferry ride to the island. Upon arrival on Ko Chang, transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day at leisure.
Days 2 - 4: Ko Chang (B/-/-)
At leisure.
Note: Optional excursion to Klong Plu waterfalls is available for a supplement.
Day 5: Ko Chang / Trad / Bangkok (B/-/-)
Transfer to the pier for the ferry back to Trad and then either to the airport or to the bus for the drive back to Bangkok (arrival Bangkok approximately 18:00).
End of services.
