Ko Tao offers good scuba diving and a chance to escape from the crowds. Diving options available include PADI introduction and open water certification courses as well as day and night boat dives for certified divers.
Your itinerary
Day 1: Bangkok / Chumporn (-/-/-)
Late afternoon transfer to the railway station for the overnight train to Chumphon departing at approximately 19.00.
Day 2: Chumporn / Ko Tao (-/-/-)
Arrive Chumporn at approximately 04.30 and then transfer by bus and boat to Ko Tao. Arrive at about 10.00 and check in to your bungalow accommodation. The rest of the day at leisure.
Day 3: Ko Tao (B/-/-)
Complimentary trip to Ko Nang Yuan for swimming and relaxation.
Days 4 - 6: Ko Tao (B/-/-)
At leisure. An opportunity for scuba diving and snorkelling.
Day 7; Ko Tao / Chumporn / Bangkok (B/-/-)
Morning free. Transfer to the pier for the afternoon ferry to Chumphon departing at 15.00. Arrive at 17.30 and transfer to the railway station. Time to explore the town until the departure of the night train to Bangkok at approximately 20.30.
Day 8: Bangkok (-/-/-)
Arrive Bangkok at approximately 06.30.
End of services.
Note:
January – October is the best time to visit Ko Tao for scuba diving. From mid-October until the end of December it is the monsoon season on the east coast and this will affect some of the dive sites. However, as Ko Tao has almost 30 diving sites and the island itself act as a shelter, dives will still be possible on one side of the island. There might though be a few days when the boat Chumporn to Ko Tao cannot not operate and in that case we will have to reroute the trip via Ko Samui. As this can be known only a few days prior to departure, please remember that if you book for this period to contact our office as soon as you arrive Thailand to check the situation.

- Transfers Bangkok by air-conditioned in by mini bus. Non air-conditioned transportation or pick up truck for round-trip transfer will be used in Ko Tao.
- Hotel accommodation throughout the tour is in standard-class hotels based on 2 persons in a twin-bedded room on B/B basis. All rooms are air-conditioned with attached bath and toilet.
- Round-trip ferry crossing.
- Round-trip 2nd class air-conditioned train with sleeping berths between Bangkok and Chomporn.
