After lunch trek through the tropical forests about 2 hours (2 km.) for an opportunity to learn about flora and fauna and secrets of jungle herbs. Arrive at the Karen village of Baan Pong Noi or Ban Pa Klauy for overnight. Time to swim, explore the village, learn how to do bamboo weaving, trap making, etc. and perhaps give the guide a hand in preparing the evening meal. Enjoy your first dinner in the jungle followed by an evening talk with the villagers to hear the legends of the hill-tribe peoples. Overnight in a bamboo hut.

Enjoy fishing in the Mae Tang River by local tackle and learn the technique of constructing a bamboo raft. Afterwards time for another refreshing swim and dinner preparation. Dinner and overnight at the rafting camp. Total walking distance today is about 8 km.

Day 5: Trekking / Chiang Mai (B/L/-)

After breakfast watch the elephants taking their daily bath in the stream. Then take an elephant-back ride through unspoiled natural forest for approximately 1-1/2 hrs, 3 Km.
