Hungary's capital city, Budapest, is only the beginning of our journey throughout the heart of Eastern Europe and this city's three regions make for the perfect vantage points to view the mighty Danube River in all its glory. The city's renowned shopping along the Vorosmarty Ter will provide hours of entertainment and the sense of discovery will be felt as we search for the monuments in Liberty Square. It's then time to explore Romania, the land of the spectacular Eastern Carpathian Mountains.
This country seems to contain all the elements that one can desire in any adventure; a natural beauty that will mystify meshed with cities that exist in a unique world of their own. Understand why the capital city, Bucharest, is nicknamed "The Little Paris of the East" when we see the influences shine through the city's architectural styles and overall ambiance. The sidewalk cafes scattered throughout the garden-laden streets and the fin-de-siecle style of the structures that dot the city are qualities we won't forget anytime soon after our trip. An excursion to the outdoor Bucharest Village Museum shows a collect of the country's oldest structures, from towering windmills, to restored churches.
