A visit to one of the most important museums in the world, the Hermitage, allows us access to the 400 exhibit halls that are lined with the greatest achievements of some of the world's most famous artists. After a short train ride, we arrive in Moscow where we witness the world's largest bell, located in the Kremlin; we see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Red Square; we revel in the variety of elaborate Metro stations that are adorned with chandeliers and other frails. From here, it's off along the Trans-Siberian railway that stretches from Moscow to Vladivostok on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. We will break up the journey by taking in numerous excursions to some of the most interesting areas of Russia; the ones that aren't as well-known but just as rewarding. Stopping at one of the earliest settlements of Siberia, we see the unusual characteristics of the cliffs in Stolby National Park. Step foot into the last where the first Russian revolutionaries, the Decembrists, lived in exile. We will also see some of the most remote locations in the country, wherein lies some of the most beautiful lakes and mountains.
