Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Meeting of passengers and representatives of the agency at the airport Nikola Tesla – Belgrade. Transfer to the hotel. Spare time. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 2: Breakfast. Sightseeing with a professional tour guide.
Route: The City Parliament, The Federal Parliament, Terazije Square, Republic Square, Students’ Square, Belgrade Fortress, City Gate (“Varos kapija”), New Belgrade, Topcider Hill, Dedinje, Oslobodjenje Square, Slavija Square, Nikola Pašic Square.
Lunch. Spare time in the afternoon. For the evening night cruising on Sava and Danube Rivers and sightseeing of Belgrade from the rivers with dinner and appropriate music program is planned.
Day 3: Breakfast. One-day program – Zasavica Swamp, Natural Reservation
Route: Belgrade – Sremska Mitrovica – Zasavica Reservation – Rowing boat ride - Varna village – Belgrade.
In this beautiful natural reservation you will enjoy a ride on the tourist rowing boat, photo-safari and richness of its natural and animal world – 200 species of plants, 120 species of birds, more than 20 species of fish.
Lunch. Visit to Varna village – villa “Albedo” where we have presentation and tasting of Serbian brandy “rakija” in the authentic house with a possibility of using the components of the complex: workshops and artist’s studios, sculpturing, stonecutting, forging, embroidery weaving where everyone, who wishes it, could make a souvenir for himself as a unique memory.
Return to Belgrade in the evening. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 4: Breakfast. “Carstvo etnosa” (The Kingdom of ethnos).
Route: Belgrade, Ovcarsko–kablarska Gorge, Zlatibor Mountain, Mokra Gora, Sirogojno.
Visit to the Drvengrad, film city of Emir Kusturica. Watching the projection of the latest documentary film by Emir Kusturica. Lunch is planned in the ethno restaurant of this unique film city. Boarding the old type train “Cira” and driving along the famous “Sarganska osmica” – the narrow-gage railroad, shaped in number eight, long 15 kilometres with 22 tunnels, many viaducts and bridges and it represents the greatest tourist attraction in Europe at the moment. Stops are on the places with spectacular views, and also on the place where film “Zivot je cudo” (Life is a miracle) by Emir Kusturica is made. Departure to ethno village Sirogojno. Accommodation. Dinner; Overnight.
Day 5: Breakfast. Transfer to the volunteering place.
Route: Sirogojno, Cacak, Ovcarsko–kablarska Gorge, Kraljevo, Vrnjacka Banja, Kragujevac, Kalenic.
On this trip, we will drive trough Central Serbia with brakes in Vrnjacka Banja where lunch is planned. We will also visit monasteries in Ovčarsko–kablarska Gorge.
Arrival to Kalenic. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 6-8: Open-air museum Kalenic
Environmentally and socially sustainable Volunteering projects with support of local community:
Taking part in renovation and vindication of old household (traditional architecture); introducing with customs, tradition and the way of living at the end of 19th Century in village Levac. After work done, this household would be used for tourists as museum.
Taking part in renovation and vindication of old water-mill; helping miller to illustrate milling of wheat and corn.
Vindication and trim of cultural ambience of Monastery Kalenic which will celebrate six centuries of existence in 2007 (trim of greens, making of wooden bridges for crossing river and torrent, manufacturing and installing of tourist signalling, etc.).
Trim and sublimation of village centre and Museum compound with greens Trim and setting up of all necessary infrastructure in a place where assembly of folk authorship “Been through Levac, been through Sumadija” takes place; making and placing of benches, bins, etc.
Taking part in making souvenirs, useful things (weaving, knitting, wicker work, wood treatment, etc.) Restoring gallery ambience in a Museum. Making of wooden hay place in Museums compound.
Day 9: Breakfast. Transfer to the Belgrade.
Route: Kalenic, Kragujevac, Topola, Arandjelovac, Mladenovac, Belgrade
From Kalenic we will drive trough Kragujevac, and Topola, where we will take a brake and visit Memorial of the Karadjordjevic royal family (St. George Church, Karadjordje’s City and king’s wine cellar with wine tasting and gourmet offer).
Trip continues towards Mladenovac and Country Club Babe where lunch is planned to be held. You will be specially attracted by the herd of thoroughbred horses, possibility of riding, sport fishing and other things.
Return to Belgrade in the evening. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport. End of the program.
