From museums displaying artifacts that illustrate life during the time of the Roman Empire, to the amphitheater that lies at the end of a long stone path that has been worn away by chariot wheels, Tunisia is a country that is full of the remaining antiquities of Rome, despite its location on the opposite side of the Mediterranean. Aqueducts run along the lush hillsides that are worthy setting for such a rich history. Just when we think that the Roman Empire goes no further than this in Africa, we travel to Volubulis, Morocco, which was actually the Empire's remotest outpost. Get caught up in the atmosphere of the walled city of Fes as we explore the labyrinth of streets that are lined with shops.
