Starting off in Halifax, this three-week expedition on the east coast of Canada takes us on a highly informative adventure through the historic centers and UNESCO Heritage Sites of the South Shore and into New Brunswick to follow the Glooscap Trail, one of North America’s greatest natural treasures. Hopping over to Prince Edward Island, we spend time in the ‘garden city’ of Charlottetown, check out Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Green Gables and Cavendish Beach, and enjoy a delicious lobster feast.
We get closer to spectacular nature when we walk the Cabot Trail and head into Newfoundland’s Gros Morne National Park and then it’s over the border and onto US soil via the oldest city in North America; St John’s. From Massachusetts, through Maine and to New Hampshire, we spend the final eight days of this East Coast tour admiring quaint towns, attractive architecture and beautiful landscapes of several urban centers, each of which hold an abundance of historic significance and site.
