The group will be transported by boat, deep into the archipelago and dropped off at a remote hostel for a last night of civilization. Then the journey will be by sea kayak, camping on remote sandy beaches in the heart of this coastal paradise. The journey will continue into the Johnstone Strait where there are a number of Orca (Killer) Whale pods, so a very good chance of getting up close to these majestic creatures.

Expedition Highlights:

*Whale watching (there are 16 pods of Orca Killer whales in this area).
*Journeying by sea kayak (and with Orca Killer whales!) through remote coastal wilderness.
*Experience island life on Quadra Island, one of the largest and wildest of the Gulf Islands.

Your Itinerary

Day 1, 05 July: Arrival Day. Vancouver/HI Jericho Beach

Private rooms booked at HI Jericho. Beach.

Day 2, 06 July: Travel to Quadra Island

Van shuttle and BC Ferry to Vancouver Island. Van shuttle to Campbell River BC Ferry to Vancouver Island and shuttle to Campbell river and ferry to Quadra.

Day 3, 07 July: Quadra orientation

Take a tour around the island. In the afternoon there will be an introduction to sea kayaking and a chance to have a warm up paddle.

Day 4, 08 July: Broughton Archipelago

Transit to Telegraph Cove before a water taxi into the Broughton. Archipelago and a remote hostel. Overnight at Hostel.

Day 5, 09 July: Adventure Journey 1

Broughton Archipelago.

Day 6, 10 July: Adventure Journey 2

Broughton Archipelago.

Day 7, 11 July: Adventure Journey 3

Broughton Archipelago.

Day 8, 12 July: Adventure Journey 4

Broughton Archipelago.

Day 9, 13 July: Adventure Journey 5

Johnstone Strait.

Day 10, 14 July: Whale Watch

Telegraph Cove. Transit back to Quadra.

Day 11, 15 July: Quadra

A chance to explore the wild side of Quadra Island. Here there are wolves!

Day 12, 16 July: Quadra

A last day to enjoy Quadra Island before heading back to Vancouver.

Day 13, 17 July: Vancouver

Transit to Vancouver. HI Jericho.
