Horse trekking across the Chilcotin Plateau and through the unique Rainbow Mountains following ancient Native Indian trading routes which linked the inland tribes with the coastal villages. These trails were used by Alexander Mackenzie who became the first European explorer to reach the Pacific Ocean overland.
Discover this unique mountain range with the legendary Dorsey family, for the real cowboy adventure. This family have been travelling by horse across the plains and mountains for generations and offer an authentic experience. Joyce Dorsey is well known for her fantastic gourmet camp food cooked on an open fire.
From the Chilcotin plateau hike/horsepack through the Rainbow Range, into the coastal mountains, through alpine meadows and lakes before returning to the trail head to continue the journey into Bella Coola Valley for some unique adventure activities.
