The Plain of Jars is only one of many archaeological phenomena we will see in Laos and the memorials of Dien Bien Phu is not the last example of historical significance in Vietnam. Both hold opportunities for boat trips to view ancient structures along the shores; the tours along Vietnam’s Perfume River and Laos’s Mekong River have unimaginable surprises in store.
