In Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, we can listen to the chanting of the Buddhists as they partake in their pilgrimage to one of the many shrines and temples, or see the thousands of worshipers praying waist-deep in the waters of India's Ganges River as we cruise by on boat. Some of the Buddha's earliest teachings were imparted in India and we can see the site of his first lectures in the buried city of Sarnath.
This country, in particular, is bursting with antiquity. In Varanasi alone, there are more than 2,000 temples and shrines, making it the religious capital of the Hindu faith. These countries are also know for their spectacular beauty that astounds anyone who's impressed by soaring, glacier-tipped peaks mixed with low, lush valleys. The Himalayas serve as the backdrop to many of the warmer environments throughout Nepal.

- Breakfast and dinner are included daily. Local restaurants and hotels in Nepal; in India evening meals on tour will be taken mostly at hotels
- Most restaurants of an international standard are associated with hotels
- In some locales we endeavor to break up the buffet dinners with a meal at a local restaurant but, overall, the imperatives of hygiene and quality dictate hotel meals
- All transport, accommodation, sightseeing and entrance fees are included for sites noted as 'visited' in the detailed itinerary
- Gratuities for drivers, restaurant staff, porters, local guides
- Airport transfers for land / air customers arriving / departing on tour dates.
