Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Delhi. Arrive in Delhi, a warm welcome with flower garlands and transfer to hotel. Overnight Day 2: Delhi. Morning tour of historic city of Old Delhi to include magnificent Red Fort, The Jama Masjid, India`s largest mosque, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. Afternoon sightseeing in New Delhi to include Humayun`s Tomb, Bhai Temple, Qutab Minar, India gate and Government buildings. Overnight at hotel. Day 3: Delhi - Agra. Morning at 7:00 drive to Agra, arrive at around 11:00 and proceed for sightseeing of Agra. Agra is the home of the Taj Mahal and the famous Red Fort. The Moghul Emperor Shah Jehan built the extravagant Taj Mahal as a mausoleum for his most beloved wife and was imprisoned in the Red Fort overlooking the Taj by his son until death. Both buildings are truly spectacular and the Taj Mahal is now one of the wonders of the World. Later visit marble cutting center old city and bazaars etc. Overnight at hotel. Day 4: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Ranthambore. Morning drive to Ranthambore en route visit Fatehpur Sikri. This was emperor Akbar`s capital designed and built in Red stone the city is another architectural wonder. Later drive to Ranthambore. Overnight. Day 5: Ranthambore. Morning safari in the park, afternoon safari. Overnight. Ranthambore National Park: Earlier the hunting preserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur, the Park at Ranthambore was once the scene of royal hunting parties. Today, it is famous for its Tigers and is one of the best places in the country to see these majestic predators in the wild. The tigers can be spotted quite often even during the day, at their normal pursuits - hunting and taking care of their young. With the strict measures that have been taken for their conservation, they seem quite accustomed to human activity and are not disturbed by it. A good time to visit is between October and April when the nature of the dry deciduous forests makes sightings common. Ranthambore has large numbers of sambar, chital and nilgai, Sounders of boar and an occasional gazelle - the chinkara can be seen, as also the Indian hare, mongoose and monitor lizards. The lakes and pools at the park are where the deer congregate and where it is easiest to see the animals. Among the other local fauna are the leopard, hyena, jackal, jungle cats, sloth bear and marsh crocodile. Day 6: Ranthambore - Jaipur (156 km). Morning once again safari in the park, later drive to Jaipur built by Maharaji Sawai Jai Singh II popularly known as the Pink City in 1727 AD. Designed in accordance with Shilp Shastra - an ancient Hindu treaties on architecture. Overnight at hotel. Day 7: Jaipur. Morning tour of the impressive Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City. At the foot of the hill you will mount your caparisoned Elephant for the climb to the main gate. The Fort, completed in the early 18th century, took over 100 years to build and now, although deserted, offers a fascinating insight into the lifestyle of the Moghul ruling families. Afternoon tour of the Pink City will include City Palace, still home to the Maharaja although several of the rooms are now open to the public. Many antiques and artifacts belonging to the ruling family are housed here. Also visit the Hawa Mahal "Palace of the Winds", and the open-air Jantar Mantar Observatory to see the vast astronomical instruments. Enjoy a stroll through the colourful bazaar before returning to your hotel. Overnight at hotel. Day 8: Jaipur - Delhi - Departure. Morning free, later drive to Delhi, on arrival transfer to international airport for your onward flight. Notes: Price Includes:
