Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Upon arrival Lampang Elephant Conservation Center (L, D)
08.30 AM. All the tourists are provided the mahout suit and sheet of elephant command.
09:00 Am. All tourists will meet their elephant and mahout at the showground for introducing the name of mahout and elephant, they will be instructed how to ride the elephant by our skillful mahout. Keep training how to ride the elephants.
09:40 Am. Then enjoy bathing the elephants at the bathing pool with other elephants and mahouts. 10:00 Am. Enjoy watching the elephant show.
10:40 Am. Check in at our accommodation and put every thing in the room.
12:00 Am. Enjoy lunch at the restaurant.
13:00 Pm. Meet our staff at the office to learn about the proper elephant commands, our staff will inform all mahout training participants how to be with the elephants.
13:30 Pm. Enjoy riding the elephants on the howdah or saddle to the forest about half hour while their elephants are performing the last show.
14:00 Pm. Meet their elephant and keep practicing the training lesson till 14:40 Pm.
14:40 Pm. Enjoy riding the elephant into the forest and bath their owned elephant on the way back to the forest. This is the highlight of our mahout training course, because all elephants are very happy and most of the tourists really like it. All elephants have to be in the forest at night, because we can not afford to pay for their food. All tourists will enjoy riding their elephant in real forest area with plenty of food.
15:30 Pm. Arrive at the place where the mahout usually leave their elephants and walk back to the camp with our staff and mahouts.
16:00 Pm. Arrive at the accommodation and take shower or dry the mahout suit for tomorrow 's use.
18:00 Pm. Helping our staff by cutting some vegetable and enjoy talking in the evening.
19:00: Pm. Enjoy dinner.
Day 2: (B, L, D)
6.30 Am. Walk through the forest to get your elephant back to the TECC and help the mahout to bath and watch their elephant in the pool.
08:00 Am. Breakfast
09:00 Am. Keep learning to ride and control the elephant in the show ground and bath the elephant at 09:45 Am.
10:00 Am. Changing to normal suit and really to meet our staff in order to visit visit the elephant hospital. Our staff will provide all tourists the elephant knowledge and information of the sick elephants at the hospital.
12:00 A.m. Lunch at the homestay accommodation and have free time
14:00 Pm. Meet their elephant and keep practicing the training lesson till 14:40 Pm.
14:40 Pm. Enjoy riding the elephant into the forest and bath their owned elephant on the way back to the forest. Day 3: (B)
6.30 Am. Walk through the forest to get your elephant back to the TECC and help the mahout to bath and watch their elephant in the pool.
08:00 Am. Breakfast.
09:00 Am. Review all the training lesson since three day before joining the show with other mahouts and elephants.
09:45 Am. Enjoy bathing the elephants with other mahouts at pool.
10:00 Am. Participate in the elephant show for regular tourists, all the new mahout (tourist) will show the regular tourists all lesson since three day ago.
11:00 Am. Saying good bye to mahout and elephants and leave the camp
18:00 Pm. Helping our staff by cutting some vegetable and enjoy talking in the evening.
19:00: Pm. Enjoy dinner.
The chance to ride the majestic elephants is a huge privilege. We recommend a small gift of thanks to the mahout in recognition of this privilege. As a guide please tip the Mahout 400 - 500 Baht, not more than that (The price does not include a service appreciation and transportation)
