In the course of this program you will acquaint yourselves with the most typical and famous high mountain cottages and hotels. You will enjoy hikes through high mountain saddles connecting these cottages. The highest of them, the Priecne sedlo, is located at an altitude of 2.352 m, the highest point of this trekking is the peak Východná Vysoká – 2.429 m. The mountain guide will take care of your safety during more demanding ascents. A completely different experience is a romantic rafting down the Dunajec River on the Slovak – Polish border, and the legend about the flying monk called Cyprián. An offered alternative is the visit to the largest castle in Central Europe and precious sites of late Gothic.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to Vienna, transfer to the .
Day 2: Ascent from the mountain village Ždiar (900) to the saddle Široké sedlo (1830 m) – chalet at the mountain Lake Zelené Pleso (1551 m).
Day 3: Glacial mountain Lake Zelené Pleso (1551) – ascent to the saddle Velká Svištovka (2038) – by traverse along the Tatra arterial track to the mountain chalet Zamkovského chata (1475).
Day 4: The chalet Teryho chata (2015) – via the saddle Priecne sedlo (2352) to the mountain chalet Zbojnícka chata (1960) – descent to the oldest Tatra chalet (1285) – Starý Smokovec (1010).
Day 5: Rest in the Pieniny National Park, rafting on wooden rafts.
Day 6: Mountain Hotel Sliezsky dom (1670) – Východná Vysoká (2429).
Day 7: Alpine mountain Lake Batizovské Pleso (1884) – Ostrva (1966) – descent to the mountain lake Popradské Pleso (1500) – visit of symbolic cemetery.
Day 8: Cottage under the Rysy Peak (2250) – Peak Rysy (2499) – Popradské Pleso (1500).
Day 9: Hincovo pleso (1945) – ascent to the saddle Koprovské sedlo (2180) - through the valley Koprovská dolina to Podbanske (940).
Day 10: Depart for Vienna, departure.
