Mt. Kilimanjaro the highest mountain of Africa is dominating Amboseli. Despite of its dusty appearance the park has an endless water supply from the ice cap. The heat creates mirages at the horizons, punctuated by real herds of Zebra and Gnus. Samburu door to the remote region of the Northern Frontier Province, Mt. Kenya Africa’s 2nd highest mountain on the equator with dense forest, Masai Mara, part of the Serengeti ecosystem with the highest concentration of game in Africa and the great wildebeest migration.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi. Arrival in Nairobi, where our drive/ guide will meet and escort you to the hotel where your room will have been reserved and ready for your occupation Safari briefing will be conducted at your hotel by our Tour Manager. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Nairobi which includes visit to Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Center, National Museum of Kenya and historical buildings and streets in Nairobi. Overnight at Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park. Breakfast and morning departure for Amboseli game reserve. Lunch at the lodge, your luxury safari lodge, facing the snow capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa highest mountain. Enjoy your first game drive this afternoon in the park. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park. Dawn is the perfect time for game viewing in Amboseli just as the sun rises over Kilimanjaro. Return to your lodge for late breakfast and spend the rest of the morning relaxing by the swimming pool. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game viewing drive around the lakes and springs fed by the snow of Mount Kilimanjaro, home to a multitude of bird and animal species. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 4: Mount Kenya. Early departure for Nairobi. Lunch, before continuing to a luxury tree hotel built deep in the Mount Kenya national park. There may be time for an escorted walk through the forest to spot some rare birds and animal’s species. Enjoy an informative lecture after dinner by the resident naturalist. View wildlife gathering at the floodlit water hole throughout the night from your room or lounge. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Lodge.
Day 5: Samburu Game Reserve. Drive through semi- arid Northern Kenya through the town of Isiolo, occasionally passing nomadic samburu tribesmen, with there goat and cattle herd. Arrive for lunch at the Samburu Serena Lodge. Afternoon game drive in Samburu, home to the rare and unusual reticulated giraffes, the long necked gerenuk, grey zebra and the beisa Oryx. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 6: Samburu Game Reserve. Spend the whole day in Samburu Game Reserve; enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drive. Samburu is a contrast of very dry scrub and lush palm lined oasis. You may even encounter leopard at the nearby acacia trees. An escorted bush walk along the Ewaso Nyiro River is an option during your stay. Meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 7: Ol Pejeta. Short drive this morning to Mount Kenya safari club. Lunch at the club and spend afternoon relaxing or playing a round of golf, trout fishing in a clear mountain steam or horse riding around the magnificent garden. An optional visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary established by Jane Goodall at nearby Ol Pejeta is also available at a minimal cost. Dinner and overnight at Mount Kenya Safari Club.
Day 8: Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Breakfast and transfer to Nanyuki airstrip for your flight over the Great Rift Valley to Maasai Mara. Your Manga Tours and travel safari vehicle and driver guide will be waiting for you at the air strip. A short drive to the lodge passing teeming wildlife herd in the vast plains as your game viewing drive takes you to the lodge. Lunch and afternoon game viewing in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge.
Days 9-10: Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Two full days of game viewing at the reserve. Vast herds of wildebeest wonders across the Mara grassland, there numbers increasing during the annual migration from the Serengeti. Lion, leopard& cheetah are never far behind, while crocodile and hippo wallow in the Mara and Talek Rivers. Your guide may organize full day game viewing drive with a magnificent picnic lunch for clients provided by the lodge. You will also enjoy our unique dinner on the masai Mara with the traditional Masai dancing. Meals and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge.
Day 11: Nairobi. A final morning game drive is followed by an outdoor breakfast by the Hippo pools At the Mara River. Transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled morning flight to Nairobi. Met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Day 12: Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight.
