The sophisticated metropolis of Mendoza sits to the east of the continent’s highest peak, the monstrous Aconcagua, and is surrounded by verdant oases which are home to some of the world’s finest wine producing vineyards. Explore a region of highly contrasting landscapes and wildlife, ranging from the snow-capped peaks of the Andes to horizontal plains of the vast pampas, from lush green valleys to dark desolate volcanoes, and from desert dunes to damp highland marshes.
