Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Luang Prabang- Nong Khiwa- Muang Ngoi Neua
Early departure from Luang Prabang by road northwards to Nam Bak and then Nong Khiaw, a quaint village on the west bank of the Nam Ou river. Change into a local boat for a 1hr journey to Muang Ngoi Neua, nestled on a small peninsula in the river. In the afternoon explore the village and Tham Kang and Tham Pha Kaew caves. Overnight in Muang Ngoi Neua, whose accommodation is very basic. (Lunch, Dinner)
Day 2 - Muang Ngoi Neua - Muang Khua
After breakfast, depart by local boat for a full–day trip to Muang Khua, only 50 km from the Vietnamese border and the town of Dien Bien Phu. Packed lunch on the way. Go for a walk around the village at the end of the afternoon. Overnight in Muang Khua (very basic accommodation). (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3 - Muang Khua-Pakbeng
Mid- morning depart by road towards the provincial town of Udomxay, a crossroads city between northern Laos and China. After lunch continue to Pakbeng, a market town on the Mekong halfway between the Thai border and Luang Prabang. Overnight in Pakbeng. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 4 - Pakbeng- Kamu Lodgea
fter breakfast, embark on local slow boat for a journey down the Mekong to the Kamu Lodge. On arrival lunch at the lodge. In a unique setting and with original (and optional) activities like rice planting, gold panning, trekking and fishing in the Mekong, this eco-oriented lodge will make you live a very different lao experience. Overnight at the Kamu Lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5 - Kamu Lodge – Luang Prabang
Mid-morning return by boat to Luang Prabang (optional stop at the sacred Pak Ou caves). End of services. (Breakfast)

Airfare is not included in the tour price.

- Private car, van bus a/c from Luangprabang –Nong Kheaw. No a/c from Muong Ngoi-Muongkhua-Udomxai-Pakbeng.
- Porterage & drinking water.
- Normal boat from Nong Kheaw-Muong Ngoi-Muong khua.
- Private normal boat from Pakbeng-Kamu Lodge.
- Hotel accommodation in twn/Dbl bed shared room.
- Meals: As indicated in itinerary.
- Tour with local English speaking guide.
