Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Addis Ababa - Arrival at Bole International Airport (Addis Ababa) where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You will have city tour of Addis. Overnight in Ghion Hotel.
Day 2: Addis Ababa - Bahar Dar - Leave Addis and drive north passing by Mt. Entoto through the Sululta Plain, visiting the monastery of Debre Libanos and the so-called Portuguese Bridge. Then, proceed to the spectacular scenery of the Blue Nile Gorge, where you stop for your picnic lunch and proceed to Bahar Dar. Overnight in Tana Hotel.
Day 3: Bahar Dar - After an early breakfast, drive to the mighty Blue Nile Falls "Tis Isat". Upon return, make a sightseeing of Bahar Dar. After lunch, you will have boat excursion on lake Tana, to visit the 17th monastery of Ura Kidne Mihiret. Overnight in Tana Hotel.
Day 4: Bahar Dar - Gondar - After breakfast drive to Gondar. Visit the 17th century castles, the Bath of Fusillades, the Monastery of Qusquam and the icon - rich monastery of Debre Berehan Silassie. Overnight Goha hotel in Gondar.
Day 5: Gonder - Axum - After early breakfast drive north of Gondar through the chains of the Simien Mountains and the Tekeze, river valley to the ancient town of Axum. Overnight in Yeha Hotel.
Day 6: Axum. Have a city tour in Axum town. Here you will visit the stale tombs, the church of St. Mary of Zion, and the ruins of palaces and museum. Overnight in Yeha Hotel.
Day 7: Axum - Mekele - Leave Axum and drive to the 5th century BC site of Yeha and proceed to Mekele. Overnight in hotel.
Day 8: Mekelle - Lalibela - After breakfast, leave Mekele and drive through Ambalage chains of mountains, and having your picnic lunch at Lake Ashenge, proceed to Lalibella. Overnight in Roha Hotel.
Day 9: Lalibela - visit the 11 Rock - hew churches dating back to the 12th century. The 11 rock hewn churches ate considered as the 8th wonder of the world and registered by UNESCO as the world heritage site. Overnight Lalibella in Roha Hotel.
Day 10: Lalibela - Have optional excursion to the rock hewn churches of Asheton Mariam outside of Lalibella. Return to Lalibella for your overnight stay in Roha Hotel.
Day 11: Lalibela - Dessie - Depart Lalibella with a picnic lunch to Dessie. Visit Debre Istifanos Monastery.
Day 12: Dessie - Addiss Ababa - Leave Dessie after break fast for your return to Addis by appreciating the landscape on the way. Overnight and dinner in Ghion Hotel.
Day 13: Departure - Transfer to Bole International Airport for your flight back home.
