Ethiopian rift valley is a part of the Great Rift Valley start from the dead Sea of Persia via Eastern Africa to the Tip of Mozambique. The seven rift valley lakes are the home of Eastern Africa bird species and the recreational center. Founded in the 17th century Harar is one of Ethiopian oldest Islamic city. Bale region is one of Ethiopia's highest plateaus with plenty of Afro Alpine plant species and considered as the 'home of Endemism' for its diversified plants, birds and mammals.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival: Arrival at Bole International Airport (Addis Ababa) where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Hotel. Overnight in Ghion hotel in Addis.
Day 2: Addis–Awash: In the morning drive to Awash national Park. Visit the Awash national park. It was established to protect the Gravy’s Zebra, Somereiin gazelle, Biasa Oryx. There are many bird species in Awash Park and many varieties mammals. O/n Genet hotel
Day 3: Awash- Harar: Drive to Harar, east of Addis Ababa with photo and lunch stops on the way. Overnight Ras hotel.
Day 4: Harar: After break fast visit the walled city of Harar and the fascinating houses of Harari people, Hadere people and the Arthur Rimbaud museum. In the early evening visit the “hyena man”, a man who feeds wild hyenas by his hand. Overnight in Ras hotel.
Day 5: Harar-Sodere: After breakfast drive to Sodere, a famous resort with hot springs. Overnight in Wabishebelle hotel.
Day 6: Sodere-Addis Ababa: In the morning swimming and bird watching around the hotel. After lunch drive back to Addis Ababa with stops on the way to see the way of living of the people, birds and the crater lakes of Debre Zeit. In the night departure back to home.
