Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Maiquetía Airport, Caracas; flight to Puerto Ordaz
On your arrival, you will meet up with one of our agents and take a flight to Puerto Ordaz, south of Venezuela. Overnight at Posada Angostura.
Day 2: Santa Elena de Uairen
Take the 4 x 4 to Santa Elena de Uairen, stopping on the way to see the waterfalls and admire the beautiful Gran Sabana landscape. Overnight at a posada. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 3: Roraima trek (Rio Tok camp)
Two-hour drive to Paraitepuy, place we begin the trek. Walk for 4 hours to Rio Tök, the first camp, which has a view of Kukenan Tepuy. Overnight in tents. Includes: (L), (D).
Day 4: Roraima trek (base camp)
Walk to the military base where we stop for lunch, then walk on to the Roraima base camp. Overnight in tents. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Roraima trek (ascent)
Early start to a 6-hour walk to the summit. We will make stops on the way; the walking will be hard in places. Overnight in tents on the top of Roraima. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 6: Roraima trek (top)
Explore the top, visit the hot springs and enjoy the views from this otherworldly landscape. Overnight in tents on the top of Roraima. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 7: Roraima trek (descent)
Descend Roraima, this time going straight back to Rio Tök camp. This walk will be long, and maybe slippery if it is raining. Overnight in tents. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: Rio Tok – Paraitepuy – Santa Elena de Uairen
After breakfast we pack up for our return to Paraitepuy, and walk for 5 hours getting our last tepui views. From there, we take the 4 x 4 to Santa Elena. Overnight in posada. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 9: Santa Elena de Uairen
Your last challenge is a morning’s rafting on the Kamoiran river. Afterwards, take the overnight bus to Caracas or another destination.
Optional: flight back to Caracas or Ciudad Bolívar
