Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: After arrival to the International Airport, will be picked up and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: In the morning depart for Antigua Guatemala. From its colonial architecture to its beautiful surroundings, strolling through town on the cobblestone streets, you will experience sightseeing stunning monasteries, convents and cathedrals. Our tour includes visits to San Francisco Church, Capuchinas Convent, Central Plaza, Calle del Arco, La Merced Church and the Handcraft market. In the evening return to your hotel.
Day 3: After breakfast departure to Atitlan, the most beautiful lake in the world. Check in at the hotel, then take a boat tour in the lake with one stop in one of the 12 natives’ villages surrounding the lake. You will have lunch and return to your hotel in the afternoon.
Day 4: Thursday and Sunday. Early in the morning depart towards one of the highlights of the living Maya highlands, Chichicastenango. In Chichicastenango visit the second largest outdoor market in Latin America; Santo Tomas church; morerías and Cerro Pascual Abaj. During the afternoon back to your hotel in Guatemala City.
Day 5: After breakfast take you to the main attractions in the most cosmopolitan city in Central America. During our tour you will visit the National Palace of the culture; the Central Plaza; metropolitan cathedral. 4 Grados Norte, where you can have lunch. During the afternoon visit the Popol Vuh and Ixchel museums.
Day 6: 05:00 AM leave the hotel to take the Guatemala-Flores flight. Transfer to your hotel for check in and breakfast. Take our private bus towards the archaeological site of Yaxhá, where recently the CBS hit show Survivor was filmed. Yaxha was the third most important city of the Mayan World in the late classic period. Enjoy sightseeing the pyramids and the restored structures through the jungle paths. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch by the shores of lake Yaxha.
Day 7: 9:30 take our private bus towards the archaeological site of Tikal. Enjoy sightseeing the many pyramids, stelaes, temples and buildings of the most important Mayan city yet discovered and restored. Through the jungle paths you will be able to see birds, plants and the famous howler and spider monkeys. Enjoy a delicious lunch in a restaurant in the middle of the jungle. Afternoon transfer to the airport for flight to Guatemala City.
Day 8: Transfer to the airport 3 hours before departure time.
