There are no technical difficulties and the river therefore is a good choice for beginners. Nevertheless, the degree of remoteness lets you experience the true Yukon feeling. After negotiating the last stretch of this 130 km trip through Nisutlin Bay as part of the large Teslin Lake, the tour ends at the village of Teslin. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival Whitehorse. Arrival in Whitehorse, meeting of group members. Overnight in a hotel. Day 2: Whitehorse - Nisutlin River. Drive with van via Alaska Highway to put-in and introduction to the technique of canoing. Days 3 - 6: Paddling Nisutlin River. Start of canoe trip. Paddling down the Nisutlin River, a total of approximately 130km. On day 6 return with van back to Whitehorse and overnight in a hotel.
