In contrast to health clubs and gyms, we have chosen the beautiful Algarve countryside to provide a spectacular setting for yoga, hikes and beach runs. Start the transformation of your physical, mental and emotional self with this challenging and stimulating program.
Bootcamp begins at 'weigh-in' and finishes with 'weigh-out' After a physical assessment and dietary review by our personal trainer, our team of professional instructors work together to teach encourage and push you toward achieving a new sense of self.
Each morning consists of two hours of invigorating yoga followed by a three hour hike. The afternoons are a mix of circuits, resistance training, Pilates and yoga, totaling an average of 7 hours of exercise each day.
A sensible and strict calorie-controlled food plan is followed. The diet is vegetarian and uses produce that is locally sourced and organic where possible. The chefs make the most of your calories to deliver tasty and wholesome meals that double as fuel for your action packed days.
Whatever your ultimate goals are, Bootcamp is a springboard to a lifestyle change. You'll step off the scales not only inspired, but in possession of the tools you need to maintain a healthy weight through fitness, fun and relaxation. We require a doctor's medical certificate from each guest as a minimum level of fitness is required and the program is designed to push these limits.
Teachers. Tanya Fitzpatrick has trained in Ireland, U.K. and Canada. A qualified Hatha yoga teacher with Yoga Therapy Ireland since 2001, she has an advanced teacher qualification with International renowned yoga teacher Donna Farhi, whom she assists. Tanya addresses the uniqueness of each individual's body and teaches yoga to suit the student's needs. She teaches Hatha flow, focusing on how this affects the internal & external body and movement of energy within. Tanya's style is dynamic, motivational and inspires you to take yoga off the matt and into your day to day life.
Yolanda is our Pilates Instructor on Boot camp. She brings twelve years of fitness training experience to our team. Yolanda is a certified Body Control Pilates teacher, a qualified personal trainer and an assistant physiotherapist. She teaches Pilates in Jardim das Dunas.
Joe is the Fitness instructor in Jardim das Dunas Fitness Center in Lagos. His life has been spent in sport from rugby, kick-boxing and Jujitsu. A Personal Trainer for six years and massage therapist for nine years, Joe is a European level competitor in Jujitsu and currently trains the Lagos GNR (Police Force) and members of the Portuguese Air-Force.
A typical day:
7.00am: Wake up call. Hot water, ginger & lemon served
7.30 - 9.15am: Dynamic Yoga class
9.30am: Breakfast
10.00am: Hiking (3 to 4 hours)
2pm: Lunch
3-4pm: Resistance Training
4-5pm: Pilates
6pm: Dinner
7pm: Massage
8pm: Collapse.
Accommodation: Monte Da Bravura. Accommodation is in a beautiful hilltop villa with panoramic views overlooking the Algarve countryside. Monte da Bravura is a new villa and it's modern amenities, swimming pool and sun terraces, blend seamlessly with it's Portuguese farmhouse charm. Each comfortably furnished, self-contained apartment with heating and air conditioning offers the soft side of Boot Camp, where you can take your much deserved rest after a hard day of training.
Getting There: Fly to Faro airport from Dublin or London. Transfers to and from Faro airport are provided for anyone traveling on recommended flights. Flight information must be confirmed with us three weeks prior to arrival date. For other itineraries, we can arrange transfers (55 euro for 1-4 people sharing each way).
Flights: Will will advise you which flights to take - for the July 19 - 24 Bootcamp the flights are:
- 19 July: Easy Jet from Stansted 3289 leaving at 7.45am arriving Faro at 10.30.
- 24 July: Easy Jet Flight 5412 from Faro to London Gatwick Dep. 09:10am.
