Spanish Courses, founded in Santander in 1978, is a language center designed to fully integrate students into Spanish life through language programs and courses, accommodation and an emphasis on involvement in cultural activities.
Since 1978 we have been working very hard since then to be able to offer our clients the best satisfaction and effectiveness on the programs we provide them. We are members of the following associations: A.S.C.E.L.E. (Asociación Cántabra de Escuelas de Español para Extranjeros), F.E.C.E.I. (Federación Española de Centros de la Enseñanza de Idiomas), A.C.C.E.I. (Asociación Cántabra de Centros de Enseñanza de Idiomas) and A.C.A.D.E. (Asociación de Centros y Academias de España) that guarantee the quality of our services.

Spanish Courses is a center designed to fully integrate students into Spanish life through language programs and courses, accommodation and an emphasis on involvement in cultural, sports and leisure activities.
Our center offers a wide range of Spanish courses and programs:
- general Spanish
- immersion courses
- mini-stays, home stays
- Spanish for teachers, commercial and business Spanish
- Summer programs, one-to-one lessons
- DELE exam preparation courses
- cultural and linguistic holidays
Other Activities:
Spanish Courses students are encouraged to pursue extracurricular activities of their personal choice in our city. Memberships at a pool or gym, lessons in dance, practising different sports and teaching their language are some of the options that our students choose.
We can also provide them tours and excursions are accompanied by members of our staff or highly qualified guides.Some of the trips and excursions organized in the past have been to: Guggenheim Museum (international museum in Bilbao), the prehistorical caves in Altamira (paleolithical caves declared part of the mankind by U.N.E.S.C.O.), Picos de Europa National Park (a protected area of stageing natural beauty in the heart of the mountains), Cabárceno Nature and Wild Life Park (enjoying great variety of animals kept in natural freedom plus examples of Cantabria’s autoctonous flora and fauna), Santillana del Mar (a medieval village that is an alive museum).
Facility Information:
Spanish Courses is located in the heart of Santander, close to the most of the city's cultural attractions. It is staffed by the director, a coordinator of the language programs and courses and the teachers. The office is open from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. This center houses several classrooms for program courses, a collection of books, video materials, two computers, a printer, a seminar room and bulletin boards for student use.
