Founded in 1986, Institute of English has built up a reputation for professionalism and academic excellence. We have a staff of highly-qualified and experienced teachers, and General and Professional English courses are held year-round at our headquarters in Palmerston Park. We also run Summer Courses from June to September. Students from all over the world have come to learn English at Institute of English and our different centres allow us to provide the highest-quality service to all and to ensure the best learning environment for all students, whatever their age, culture or academic background.
The school environment is a friendly and personal one, where a sincere concern is shown for the well-being, comfort and academic success of every student. Institute of English puts the emphasis on quality and makes the learning experience a cultural one. We have had particular success in designing programmes for groups or individuals with specific interests. These are specially-designed holiday, study or training-related programmes. Over the years we have established relationships with universities, companies and institutions in many parts of the world.
Quality is our primary objective and we have always been committed to on-going re-evaluation of our programmes. We welcome client feedback to help us with this and although teaching is our core business we believe that in order to provide a quality language programmes we also need to provide quality auxiliary services and this is what we do.
All teachers at the Institute of English have university degrees and are trained to teach English as a Foreign Language. Many have additional qualifications in specialist subject areas. Our teachers take a keen interest in students' progress which is also regularly monitored by the Director of Studies. Teachers also participate in training seminars and attend regular meetings to discuss course content. Most of our teachers have lived and worked as teachers abroad and have first-hand knowledge of other cultures, customs and traditions.
Students at the Institute of English are assured of personal attention at all times. In addition to the academic and administrative staff, we have a full-time Accommodation Officer. She and her team are always on hand to answer any questions students might have regarding any aspect of their accommodation.
We have a permanent Student Welfare Officer at the institute who operates the institute's ongoing social & cultural programme and who is always on hand to answer student's questions.
