Students from everywhere in Canada and around the world attend our school throughout the year. The atmosphere here is relaxed and students soon feel at home in their new environment. Our teachers are friendly, experienced and eager to help students with any of their concerns. Our administrative staff is always ready to help students. Our classes are small and have a maximum of 15 students. We offer intensive courses for 12 English levels and 10 French levels, scheduled on a monthly basis. All levels are made available at the beginning of each month, making it possible for you to start at the level determined by your placement test. You can then study with us for as long as you please, moving up a level each month.
For those of you who are interested in part-time studies, we offer the possibility of courses in English, French and a number of other languages, tailored to meet your specific needs. These are taught by qualified professionals and offered at competitive prices. Our school is accredited by the Canadian Association of Private Language Schools (CAPLS). The International Language Centre is part of the LaSalle College Group, a network of international institutions specializing in college-level education. The group has affiliated colleges on most continents. In Montreal, LaSalle College, Inter-Dec College and LaSalle Formation en entreprise, our corporate division, offer a wide variety of programs in English and in French such as Fashion Design, Hotel Management, Tourism, Multimedia, Social Sciences and many others.
Faculty Information:
Our teachers all have a bachelor’s or master’s arts degree in subjects like French, English, literature, fine arts, or teaching English or French. Our English teachers have a TESL certificate or an equivalent. Our teachers have many years of teaching experience with international students from many different backgrounds. Our French teachers all use our in-house course materials. Our teachers follow our intensive program while maintaining a relaxed approach to pay attention to those students who need it most.

The Montreal campus is located in the heart of downtown in a clean safe environment with a neighborhood feel, where boutiques, restaurants and services of all kinds abound. The LaSalle College building is less than a ten-minute walk from three different subway stations. Students can take advantage of the services the college provides: a library, book store, restaurant, cafeteria, coffee shop and computer lab. The school is very conveniently located in a modern and clean building close to 3 subway stations and many residential neighbourhoods.
Montreal retains its mixed historical heritage, which is at the base of its partially European, partially North-American character, and that is striking to so many visitors. The many immigrants who have settled in Montreal in recent years add to its cosmopolitan flavour and have allowed Montreal to become what it is today. Moreover, Montreal is gaining worldwide recognition in the fields of medicine, the arts, multimedia and architecture. What a wonderful experience it is to see Montreal from one of the many viewpoints on Mount Royal, from the tower of the Olympic Stadium, or from Jean-Drapeau Park on the Saint Lawrence River! The city has many parks and green spaces where Montrealers, and visitors alike, go to relax and enjoy the natural beauty, whatever the season.
