EduKick proudly offers soccer players from around the world several innovative soccer and Spanish language development programs in Madrid, Spain at the EduKick Spain Soccer School! Our Spanish language immersion soccer development courses allow young soccer players from around the world the opportunity to significantly build upon their existing soccer skills and knowledge, experience Spanish culture and develop their Spanish language proficiency. All Spanish programs are co-ed but the 'Elite' soccer programs are qualify only soccer development camps for players 14 years and above.
Faculty Information:
Head Technical Trainer (Strength and Conditioning Specialist)
Dr. Javier Mayo brings a strong background to our technical staff as a soccer trainer, strength and conditioning coach, and injury prevention specialist. He possesses a BS and Masters Degree in Sport Sciences and Elite Performance (completed through the University of Madrid) and a Ph.D in Sport Science and Physical Exercise (also through the University of Madrid). During his career he has worked with collegiate, All-State/Scholastic, and State Championship and professional soccer players and teams. He is a FIFA licensed youth coach and physical therapist. He has participated and written many Sport Science articles, conferences and congresses. He is an active sport scientific researcher who has participated in many international studies and projects. Javier is also fully bilingual Spanish/English.
Technical Futbol Director / General Sports Coordinator
Coach (Mister) Hipólito Vicioso-Aragonés has a broad and extensive experience designing and implementing youth soccer programs in Spain. He is a licensed youth and semi-professional coach who currently is also coaching the A. D. Alcobendas, a semi-pro team in Madrid with a youth soccer program of about 20 coaches and close to 500 players. He has been coaching youth soccer for more than 27 years.
Executive Coordinator:
Sr. José Luis Jaráiz is the Executive Coordinator of the Edukick Madrid Year Round Program. Since 1988 he has been the General Coordinator of Sports for the SAN SEBASTIAN DE LOS REYES MUNICIPAL HALL (a city with a population of more than 80.000 just outside Madrid). Also, he is currently the General Manager of EduKick Madrid's Soccer/Sports facility Polideportivo Municipal Dehesa Boyal. His expertise in this field is invaluable for the success of this program. He holds his Physical Education License from the University of Madrid. He has also completed his Master in Sport Management through the University of LLeida. He has more than 22 years of experience as professor and lecturer for the Spanish Soccer Federation. Coaching and implementing physical conditioning programs for youth soccer has been another of his great areas of applied research and knowledge.
Academic Specialists and Technical Staff Coaches:
Iván and Alejandro Vicioso bring their energy and creativity to helping participants maintain a healthy approach and attitude toward the hardships of daily academic and sport schedules. They work with school coaches and teachers to maximize students’ efforts toward success. They are ex-semi-professional soccer players who have played at various teams in Spain. they are bilingual Spanish-English. They have coached youth soccer for more than 10 years. Alejandro holds a youth soccer license from the Madrid Federation. For the last five years, they have been a very active part of all our programs providing a high degree of coaching and personal commitment to each one of our students.

Facility Information:
General Coordinator/Sport Psychology Coach Sr. Anselmo Vicioso-Aragonés coaches and conducts workshops for athletes, sports associations, coaches, and parents on mental, emotional, educational, and developmental needs of athletes. This past summer Anselmo worked with the Spanish National Team at WORLD CUP (read an article in Spanish here) in Germany as the team's mental coach. Throughout his career Mr. Aragones has worked with youth soccer players through professional athletes. In total, he has more than 26 years of experience teaching languages and sports. An ex-professional soccer player in Europe and U.S.A, he is FIFA licensed youth coach and has his Master of Education Degree with a specialization in Sport Psychology) from Boston University. He is also an experienced NY Certified K-12 Spanish Teacher. He is bilingual in Spanish/English and can also read and understand French and Italian.
