A unique opportunity to learn the ancient technique of Buon Affresco in connection with the Exhibition of Piero della Francesca in Arezzo-Tuscany (31st March - 22nd July, 2007). Through lecture, site visits and plenty of hands-on painting time you will learn about this technique with an artist whose own works are luminous and evocative of classic works hundreds of years old.
Faculty Information:
Our tutor, renowned artist David Gollins will introduce you to 'chiaroscuro' painting effects as used by the 17th and 18th century Italian Masters. He paints with the original earth pigments ground and tempered by himself on hand made surfaces of lime and marble powder.

Facility Information:
The panels are portable and may be taken home. All materials will be provided. Artists may bring along their own fine and then 'round' long brushes if they wish.

Price is based on single occupancy accommodation including course/tuition fees, materials, all meals and transport during the course,excursion and museums, farewell dinner. The course duration is one week or 10 days. Minimum number of participants: 8
