One-to-One classes are demanding and require full concentration over a prolonged period of time. Teacher and student jointly determine the exact content of any One-to-One course. The student is invited to specify his/her field of interests by completing the relevant parts of our online booking form, which allows us to pre-select material, establish a study-plan and prepare a specific vocabulary.
One-to-one courses are available in varying degrees of intensity: 15, 20, 30 or 40 lessons per week. For 30 lessons or more the student is taught by a team of two teachers. Individual courses can be booked throughout the year. The minimum course length is one week with each course starting on a Monday and ending on a Friday. On agreement, lessons can also be held on weekends. Participants may also book additional 5-lesson-modules as a supplement to any One-to-One or Group Course.
Faculty Information:
Our teachers apply a variety of techniques ranging from introduction to the Russian language history, from etymology and comparative linguistics to role-play, live discussions and creative work (drawing, story telling) in the class.
Teacher training sessions take place on a regular basis. In a team work they share their experience, discuss the problems they recently solved, new methods and techniques they implemented and evaluate new teaching materials.
Other Activities:
We combine intensive studies with a wide range of excursions and other cultural and social activities year round to give our students an opportunity to acquaint themselves with the magnificent cities of St.Petersburg or Moscow and – no less important – with the way of life in Russia. Some activities are free, such as the city tour for new students and our Friday cocktail. Other activities are sold at reasonable rates (see current activity program for St.Petersburg ). The current cultural program for both schools is available at the reception and on the Internet and is given to every new student.
