Bad Duerkheim is located in the mildest climatic zone north of the Alps. Situated only 30 minutes from Heidelberg, this historic health resort, which can trace its history back well over a thousand years, nestles in the area where the eastern hills run into the Palatine Forest, one of the largest nature parks in Germany. It offers not only Mediterranean climate with southern flair, numerous castles and fortresses, but also the proverbial cheerful nature of people from the Palatinate. In this town situated on the German "Weinstrasse", or wine trail, we are guests in Christophorus House.
Course description
The courses at Bad Dürkheim are junior intensive courses of three weeks with 25 lessons per week. This course is designed for students between 10 and 14 years of age and serves levels A1 - C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference. Courses will last 3 weeks, from July 02 to July 22, 2006.
During these courses, our students can improve their knowledge of German in small groups of no more than ten students on average. Beginners can acquire basic knowledge of the German language. After a placement test each student attends a class according to his or her level.
Through contact with German everyday life, through assignments and talks the students are encouraged to put into practice what they have learned. The small size of our classes with 5 to 10 participants also contributes considerably to the fact that our students notice a clear improvement of their language skills at the end of our courses.
