Welcome to the "Otranto nel Mondo" School of Italian language and Italian culture in South Italy, Apulia. The Italian language school for foreign students "Otranto nel Mondo" (literally, Otranto in the World) aims to promote the Italian language and Italian culture throughout the world. With this in mind we have drawn up an agreement with the prestigious " Perugia University for Foreign Students " (Italy) and with " Otranto Town Council " (Italy).

The Italian Language School for foreign students in Italy is able to provide Italian language courses at six levels; each course participant’s level of knowledge of the Italian language is assessed by means of initial tests.

In the Italian Language School Otranto nel Mondo, teachers prepare foreign students for CELI (recognized by the University for Foreigners of Perugia) and CILS (recognized by the University for Foreigners of Siena) exams. By arrangement with the Perugia Universtity for Foreign Students, the Italian language school is an examination centre for the Certificates in Italian Language (CELI) and Business Italian (CIC). The Italian language school is in partnership with IGCO - Italia Giappone Concie Office.

Our Italian language school is open all year. Our teachers are graduates in the study of Italian language and are specialist’s in teaching Italian to foreigners. Our teachers attend a course at the Perugia University for foreign students.

Our method of teaching is modern and flexible, and both during school and during free time, spoken Italian language is emphasized from the first day on. At all levels, only Italian language will be spoken. During free time we promote integration between students and Italian people, organizing culture activities every night where a number of trained Italian friends are invited, that will help you to socialize and to verify your knowledge of the Italian language.

The school overlooks the sea and it is not more than 5 minutes’ walk from the town center and 100 metres from the beach. The atmosphere at the Italian language school is intimate and relaxed. Classes range from 10 to a maximum of 12 foreign students. Our aim is to create a lively and stimulating relationship between teachers and students. We encourage the foreign students to talk and interact both inside the classroom and outside.

Otranto, " The Gateway To The East " and prestigious " City of Art ", is a tourist town in South Italy, in the Province of Lecce, situated on the easternmost point of the Salento Peninsula. At a distance of 50 km is situated the City of Lecce known as the " Florence of the south'".
