Cooking school “Peccati di Gola” is organizing cultural-gastronomic trips both in Italy and abroad. "Peccati di gola" cooking school is a proposal for English and German speaking foreigners visiting Italy, who wish to take part in our lessons. We offer mostly typical Italian cuisine courses ranging from most traditional dishes (es. pasta, rise ecc.), to seasonal plates (es. pumpkin, carnival dessert, ecc.), children food as well as special events menu (es. Christmas or Easter menu). Obviously we also offer different levels on particular topics like fish and dessert.
One of the main characteristic of “Peccati di Gola” is its culture of hosting cooking classes in kitchens of private homes. Students have the opportunity to learn in a are in a cosy and familiar atmosphere that encourages both learning and friendship, helping them develop both “how to cook” and “how to host” skills. Classes are practical and supported by a dossier that includes all recipes demonstrated during the class as well as other relevant recipes supported by related theory and historical notes.
Students show great interest in classes related to specific regional cuisine, like Umbria, Toscana, Piemontese, Friulana, Veronese, Emiliana ecc. Those lessons are usually held by external teachers coming from the relevant region. We organize courses in Venice for English, French and German-speaking persons or in Ca' Marcello (near Padua) for English-speaking persons. Also, we organize classes for Japanese tourists coming to Venice! Accomodation can be arranged in private homes for the period, if required!
As part of our effort to keep up-to-date and offer further education opportunities to our students, we enrich our proposal yearly in order to respond to all students’ needs and requirements. Peccati di Gola proposes three different ways of approaching Italian cuisine, from real cooking class to tasting encounters. All of them are hosted in a private house in a wonderful ancient Venetian Palace close to Rialto bridge.
