Emphasis is placed on verbal interaction in the classroom, and class placement is based more on verbal fluency than on academic knowledge.
The Academic Calendar runs year round and is divided into twelve four week long terms. The curriculum is designed for the four week terms, but we will accept students anytime throughout the term are space is available. Students can indicate their preferred schedule and we will do our best to respect it, but, in general, they agree to have lessons either with a morning or afternoon schedule, accepting the decision of the school in this regard. Private lesson schedule is subject to teacher and/or classroom availability.
Students enrolled for a minimum of 10 hours a week of private lessons can, if possible according to their schedule, participate in the afternoon activities of the group programs, paying an extra fee of $5 US, per person, per each afternoon class they would like to join. All activities are in Spanish with an emphasis on improving speaking and listening skills. With the interaction of language, culture and society, learning is not confined to the classroom. Living with a Mexican family substantially enriches the language and cultural experience. The homestay program is surely your best choice if you would like to enjoy a total immersion in the Spanish language and Mexican culture.
