Our university in Costa Rica is a language school with a friendly environment. Located in the heart of San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica. Classes are held yearlong except for the last two weeks of December. Semester credit hours can be obtained through Weber State University, Utah.
At our university you will be in an environment conducive to learning. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere here. We encourage our students to speak and interact both inside and outside of the classroom and to generally have fun. This way you can practice your Spanish in a relaxed and natural manner. You will find it enjoyable to learn and therefore you will learn more effortlessly and faster. While you are practicing your Spanish you will also be making friends.
Our teachers have designed a Spanish curriculum that is suited for your specific level whether it is beginner, intermediate or advanced. Our small classes of 2-4 students enable teachers to cater to your individual needs and give you lots of opportunity to participate.
Our teachers are enthusiastic, qualified and experienced. They provide a positive classroom environment that will make you feel comfortable. They act as facilitators, eliciting conversations and are the Spanish experts for all your questions.
Upon arrival you are given a placement test in order to determine your appropriate level. We offer a number of course options, so that you can find the one that fits your needs. The lengths of the course can vary from 3 days to 4 weeks and are either intensive or semi-intensive.
Morning group classes can be supplemented with afternoon private tutoring to even further intensify your language learning experience. In addition to our classes, we offer an "Intercambio" program. Here you can be paired with a Costa Rican for open conversation. This gives you the chance to talk and become friends with native Costa Ricans, while helping you improve your proficiency in speaking, pronunciation and listening.
Our main focus is to teach our students in a short time how to communicate in Spanish. To guarantee a successful learning experience in Costa Rica, we offer a warm and friendly learning atmosphere.
We also offer a home stay program to give you the opportunity to live with selected Costa Rican families that don't speak English. Thus, it is the perfect environment in which to put into practice what you acquire in the classroom. It also rounds out your learning by giving you a first hand experience with the Costa Rican culture, cuisine and family life.
In case you do not want to stay with a Costa Rican family, we can help you with searching for a hotel or an apartment. Please keep in mind that it might be quite difficult to find other housing options.

Most faculty members are graduates from the University of Costa Rica with a career in language teacher or related.
Other Activities:
Tours can be organized for students. Free walking tours and dancing classes. Cultural exchange with Costa Rican students of our English department. Friendly atmosphere.

Our location in San Jose has twelve classroom. Two resource rooms for teachers. Small cafeteria. Nearby internet cafe with 20 computers.
