Our English language school is located in the heart of London enabling you to explore one of the great capitals of the world, with its music, arts, dance, street markets and international cuisine - while you study! The school is recognized and inspected by the ABLS (Association of British Language Schools) which ensures excellent academic and administrative standards.
The school offers English language programs to groups or individual wishing to improve their English language skills. Our school has courses of all levels ranging from elementary to advanced. Before joining a class, we have to determine your level with a grammar test and oral interview with our director of studies.
Once this assessment has taken place you may join your class on any Monday or Tuesday. Your progress will be closely monitored by your teacher with a test every month and when you have covered the syllabus appropriate for your level you may move on to the next class.
Levels offered range from elementary to advanced and specialist beginners groups can be organized upon request with a minimum of four people booking together. Students can opt to join one of our examination preparation courses at no extra cost and register for their chosen examination through the school office. Our courses: General and Business English Courses, Exam Preparation Courses and Individual Courses.
Following a General English course you will cover all the skill areas necessary to become proficient in English. You will study grammar, reading, writing, speaking , listening, vocabulary and pronunciation. This is our most popular course and can be either semi-intensive (15 hours per week), intensive (20 hours per week) including one hour extra per day of conversation class or super-intensive (30 hours per week).
Following a Business English course you will cover all the skill areas necessary to become proficient in using English for Commercial Purposes. As for General English, you will study grammar, reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary and pronunciation but with a stronger focus on improving your skills in written English for commercial purposes, business vocabulary and the oral skills necessary for the use of English within a business context.
The course therefore includes dedicated sessions focusing on activities such as writing emails, faxes, letters, memos as well as role-plays to practice negotiating techniques or business meetings and telephone English. The course is semi-intensive (15 hours per week).
Following an Examination Preparation Course you will cover all the skill areas necessary to pass one of the internationally recognized examinations recommended by our English school. Preparation courses for IELTS, Cambridge First Certificate and Advanced are all currently offered. You will study grammar, reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary and pronunciation at a level appropriate to your chosen examination.
The course is designed specifically to help you with the techniques necessary to pass your chosen examination and includes focused practice activities for each section of the examination. You will also be able to do practice speaking tests with our teaching staff, some of whom are examiners for Cambridge and Trinity examination boards. The course is semi-intensive (15 hours per week).
Individual tuition (1 teacher and 1 student) enables students to study a course that is designed to meet their specific requirements and needs. Individual tuition is a very flexible way to study. Courses can be any length and taken at any time. They can also be used as a supplement to a group class. Our English school believes that 1 to 1 courses can allow students to make rapid progress in their areas of weakness.
This type of tuition is particularly suitable for students with special learning needs or those who do not have the time to join a full time course. This may be a complete beginner who has no English or a higher level student who needs English for specific purposes, i.e. academic or medical or legal use for example.
Courses begin every week and students can take a free level test and trial lesson. Group courses are for a maximum of 15 students and levels offered range from elementary to advanced. Preparation courses are also available for Cambridge and IELTS examinations as well as individual courses for those with more specific needs. Students can register for examinations through the school office. Students’ progress is closely monitored through monthly classroom testing, enabling them to move on to higher levels.
