Aolmaia Tuscany Society is a small group of Italians who organize cultural holidays for foreign tourists. We live in the heart of Tuscany, near San Miniato, within easy reach of Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. We had designed tours and courses which are true experiences in touch with culture, traditions, life and the friendly people of Tuscany.
Aolmaia Country School offers individuals, small party, custom tours and courses that combine the pleasure of vacationing in one of the most beautiful regions of Italy with cultural activities, as cooking and food/wine tasting.
The uniqueness of our programs is the variety: every day a cooking class by a different cook in a different place. A wide experience of cooking styles to discover the true Tuscany Cuisine.
For your best enjoyment and our best service our tours is limited to max. 8 persons. Some examples of our wine and cuisine tours are following.
1) Tuscany Cooking and Touring
A genuine "hands-on" 6-night course by expert home-cooks, teaching traditional Tuscany and Mediterranean cuisine. Including excursions to food producers, wineries, olive mill, art towns. Price Euro 1.920 per person (taxes included). Including classes, tours, activities, transportation, meals and lodging in double-room;
2) Lucca & Cinque Terre Cuisine Tour
A 4-night cuisine tour of the northern Tuscany visiting legendary places such as Lucca, Cinque Terre, Carrara, including "hands-on" classes with top chefs, food producers visits... Total price Euro 1440 per person, including lodging in doubleroom, classes, tours, transportation, meals, taxes and everything;
3) Cooking break
A 3-night vacation with hands-on cooking classes and a glimpse to the best of Tuscany pleasures: food, wine, olive oil, art ... Price including all activities, meals, transport, and three-night lodging in double-room: Euro 960 per person in double-room;
4) Truffle & Olive oil specials
An autumn 3-night vacation with "hands-on" cooking classes, during the season of white truffles, mushrooms, olive oil making, new wine... Price including all activities, meals, transport, and three-night lodging in double-room Euro 960 per person in double-room;
5) Tuscany Wine Tours
An intensive wine appreciation 3-night program always guided by a professional sommelier, visiting some of the most famous wine areas of Tuscany, tasting more than 20 great Tuscany wines and eating excellent meals. Price of tour activities, wine, meals, sommelier guiding, transportation and everything, including three nights lodging: Euro 960 per person in doubleroom.
Faculty Information:
Our tours and course are designed to give a wide range of experiences; each day a different kitchen with a different chef or cook, with a different style; and after class a different place to visit.

Chef Bartolo Favarolo (at Le Boscarecce restaurant, Castelfiorentino). Precious hands-on class on historical cuisine from antique books of the noble Italian tradition;
Chef Luciano Guidi (at Poveromo restaurant, Stazzema) Precious hands-on cooking class on creative Tuscany cuisine. Lunch included;
Chef Cristiano Tomei (at L'Imbuto restaurant, Viareggio). Precious hands-on cooking class under the masterly guide of the chef specializing in Tuscany fish recipes;
Cook Loredana at her farm house, for hand made pasta and traditional country cuisine;
Cook Michela at her farm house, for home made pizza baked in wood fire brick oven.
Other Activities:
- One day wine tours to the most important wine areas of Tuscany;
- One day tours to famous naturalistic and historical areas and to antique art towns;
- One day visits to important wine and food events and fears/markets (e.g. truffle festival).

Aolmaia Tuscany Society is situated in one of the most charming places of Italy. We are located in the hilly area between Florence and Pisa, near the old village of San Miniato, midway between Pisa and Firenze, within easy reach of San Gimignano km 30, Siena km 60, Lucca km 40, Volterra km 35 and the sea coast.
There is not a school building or a single lodging; all programs and classes will be held in different areas. Each program has its appropriate accommodation, in luxury or simple hotels, restaurants with rooms, holiday-farms, private farm-houses, antique villas in the countryside or in old towns and villages.
