Your cooking teacher is Luciana Sampogna a graduate from the famous Simili Sisters' school in Bologna.
The Similis' achieved international fame & ran Marcella Hazan's cooking school. As Gourmet Traveler defined Luciana: "she is also following in their footsteps: her cooking school teaches the Simili Sisters' recipes as well as following their philosophy of introducing the time-honored traditions of regional Italian cooking to a new generation who, even in Italy, are fast losing these skills."
With this extensive knowledge of Italian food Luciana strives to teach that it is the simplicity of Italian Food which makes it so special. You will learn that Italian Food is not about techniques but carefully balancing ingredients without letting them overpower giving you the opportunity to discover the real flavour of Italian cuisine.
For all classes, Luciana will take you to the heart of different regions in Italy. All the respected Food Magazines including Gourmet Traveler, Delicious, Vogue and Good Living & have recommended this boutique Cooking School.

Classes are held in a historic sandstone cottage in Balmain East, Sydney. We are now located in a historic heritage listed Italian Villa built nearly a century ago by the Melocco Brothers. It is one of the most exclusive homes in Annandale welcoming our students to a special and unique experience. Our school is more artisan than ever, our classes emphasize teaching the real Italian cooking, the home cooking that you can only find in a truly Italian home.
Notes:
Day Hands on Long Italian Lunch Classes. Classes are $99. This includes a full lunch and wine.
"Long Italian Lunch Style...." Evening Classes - same as above, but in the evening for $90.
Demonstration Evening Classes. We prepare three exquisite dishes. The price is $70 per person which includes a full meal and wine.
