In the heart of the Caribbean, bathed by the waters of the Atlantic on the north coast and by the impetuous Caribbean Sea to the south, there is a peaceful and beautiful country, the Dominican Republic. Our Spanish language school offers Spanish Language courses from January to November in Santo Domingo the Capital of Dominican Republic.
Our teaching method takes full account of modern didactic and is oriented toward the "Foreign Language Concept of the Council of Europe", observing all instructions that the Real Academia de la Lengua recommends. We use the Direct Method and at school, like during free time, spoken language is emphasized from the first day on. At all levels, only Spanish will be spoken.
All our teachers are young university graduates who have been specially trained and who are regularly upgraded. The enthusiasm and the gift of communication Dominican people has naturally is emphasized in our Teachers in the way that the classes never runs boring.
Tourism and Culture: This course is designed for those students who don't want to lose one minute. A general language teacher will be at your disposition, following you in your trip around the island and guiding you to discover the tourist and cultural resources of the entire Dominican Republic. To enroll in this course, your program and travel arrangements will be custom-programmed with the school's secretary. You can begin on any day of the year.
Note: At the end of any course and upon request, free certificates of attendance are available.
During free time we promote integration between students and Dominican people, organizing culture activities every nights where a number of trained Dominican friends are invited. Special course designed for all professionals of emergency situations where we are involved. May be police, army, Red Cross, firemen, ambulance personnel, or members of any organizations who are trained to manage situations such as criminal events, natural disasters, and accidents - anyone who needs to communicate orders or commands during emergencies.
The course covers terminology of the most common weapons to general anatomy, military/police commands, bad words, most common crimes, and so on, and has segments on general Hispanic lifestyle and point of view. This course is not, however, an action training program and there are no practical sections. The course focuses on the linguistic and cultural aspects of emergency management as it relates to us.
The goal is to give students the basic elements that can help them to better understand, interact and communicate with Hispanic people in emergency situations, thus to manage emergencies more efficiently. This course is organized on a one-to-one student/teacher ratio and held all year around in 2 levels. Each level lasts 10 lessons. Starting dates and schedule are custom and arranged between school and student with a minimum pre-enrollment of 2 weeks.
Study material is included in the course price and presented to the students at the beginning of the course and during the class in the form of practical activities and exercises as a natural extension of the text book. The school has a library of text books, grammar, reading, learning activities, literature (Dominican, Hispanic and Spanish).
Note: The minimum age for a participant who comes alone is 18 years. We can accept younger teen-ager if they come and stay under the supervision of one of his/her parents.
