Our the language school was founded in January 1996, in Albertville, France. Two years later we established another language school in Megève, in the French alps. We have for the third year now a center in Chamonix and Sallanches as well. We offer language courses for children and adults, and translation services throughout the year in Megève, Chamonix and Albertville.
Our goal is to promote the study of languages with language intensive courses. We teach culture through language understanding: learning a language is not an aim in itself; it is a tool for opening up new worlds.
We organize English or French language camp (summer and winter camps) with language programs created to learn a language while you engage in activities.
Language summer and winter camps for children 7-15 years old as well as adults. Language classes (French or English) in the morning, sports activities in the afternoon (skiing, snowboarding, skating/hiking, rafting, mountain biking, fishing, swimming, rock climbing). Visits of glaciers, farms, national parks, cheese factories... In the evening drama, arts, crafts.
Faculty Information:
Language classes provided by University diploma teachers and native speakers. Certified sports instructors. Jeunes Diplomates Summer camps are modeled on the American summer camps and our staff has an excellent understanding and experience with the American system. Our camp is also listed with the National Camp Association.
Jeunes Diplomates staff includes our camp director, qualified French counselors (BAFA) and American counselors.
Other Activities:
Sports in winter: skiing, snowboarding, skating, cross country skiing. Sports in summer: hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, rafting, fishing, swimming. Visiting glaciers, national parks, cheese factories, and for adults wineries and discovering of the cultural heritage.
Facility Information:
School building, accommodation at the hotel/chalet. When your child arrives at the centre, he/she is placed in mixed groups of children of the same age. The children are allocated rooms based on age and sex. We try to put English speaking children with French speaking ones to maximize the learning experience.
There’s a counsellor at every floor. The children are staying at Mont-Charvin hotel in the heart of the village, across from the school.
The hotel receives a visit each year from the Health and Safety inspection (Commission Hygiène et Sécurité).
Each room has 2 or 3 beds with a bathroom and a toilet and they are cleaned every day. We offer your children top quality accommodations.
