Our Language Center in Palermo, established in 1975 by Mrs. Pat Durden, the present Director occupies the ground and basement floors of a hundred-year-old block of flats in the city center, near the main square, in a prosperous area of the town.
Our Language Center Palermo offers English language courses for all ages, and levels from beginner to advanced. Lessons are fun, stimulating, with a maximum of 12 students and with experienced and qualified teachers.
Faculty Information:
All the teachers are mother tongue Italian or English according to the language they teach. They are all qualified to teach their language to foreign students having obtained certificates such as the Cambridge CELTA or an International certificate in teaching Italian to foreigners.
Other Activities:
As from this year, we offer to its students the newest McMillan English Campus. This online suite of exercises comprises thousands of interactive exercises on the Internet and uses the latest techniques and technologies for the learning of the English Language.
English Campus is online and can be used both here at the school or at home by all students using it in their course. English Campus uses blended learning where the study and progress of each student are regularly stored on the system and checked by the teachers.
Students will be able to explore different aspects of the language including: speaking, reading, writing and listening. Classes are stimulating and entertaining and the teacher uses the most up to date methodology, including such elements as: television, DVD, CD, videos, photos, pictures, computers, the internet newspapers and magazines.
Facility Information:
Lessons take place at different times (morning, afternoon and evening) with different intensity and duration. All the text books and teaching materials that the student will use (unless otherwise specified) are included in the price of the course and are selected every year among the best available in the international market.
There are eleven classrooms, 2 staff rooms, a student self-access center, a photocopying area, a reception area, a patio, two offices and a small library. The school is centrally heated, with air conditioning in the summer months.
