The Bisbee Cooking School was created by a professional chef who loves to teach. The school is for everyone who is interested in food and wine. Most classes require no previous cooking experience - we teach the basic techniques needed. Classes are held in a fully equipped home kitchen preparing dishes that you can make yourself.
So our classes are going to focus on preserving this great Louisana tradition, maybe the best cooking in the United States, the only traditional cooking in the United States along with Native American.
Faculty Information:
Helen Saul has been a professional chef for over 20 years. A self-taught cook, she has studied with New Orleans Chef Paul Prudhomme and Marcella Hazan. Her love of ethnic cuisine has led her to take cooking classes in both Oaxaca, Mexico and Bali, Indonesia.
Helen has taught many popular cooking classes for Oregon Coast Community College, including Italian Regional Cooking, French Provincial Cooking, Cajun Creole Cooking, and the New American Cuisine.

Facility Information:
Each hands-on class includes creative and exceptional recipes, demonstrations and the special background and ingridients of the region or type of cooking. The class concludes with a sit down meal complete with the appropriate wine. Prices include all materials.
