Painting Courses
"Color is the key to enter the enchanted of the rainbow, realm of imagination" Simona Provinciali.
Course in acrylic, watercolors and pastel - finding oneself involved in the plays of transparency, bursts of color, effects of light: this is the magic of watercolor painting. You will let yourself go to the stimuli that surrounding landscape offers, knowingly leaving behind theories, systems, and laws to give space to spontaneity.

Participants will have a way to create various works through an experience made possible by natural allies such as the environment, light and colors. The purpose of the course is to give an introduction of painting techniques and rules that govern their use.
There are various techniques, and from these you may choose closest to your temperament. The role of the teacher shall be to propose examples and analyze them along with enriching the information and giving suggestions and practical pointers. Our duty shall be that of creating the conditions for well being to reunite with that playful part of self that exists in each one of us.
Dates: Every week, daily in the afternoon, 3 hours;
Group size: From 2 to 10 Persons;
Price per week: Euro 200. Private lessons are always possible; price is Euro 24 per hour;

culpture courses
The class will take place Monday through Friday in the afternoon (3:20 – 6:30 pm) at Castello Pasquini. Participants decide for themselves what they want to sculpture. In the first class, the work is planned by a sketch that is then used to realize the object.
We use soft materials like for example as well as alabaster in a second stage. The material will be provided, and the finished artwork can be kept by the participants. Also, a visit to Mimmo di Cesare’s studio is planned to learn about some of his work and Techniques. On the last night, the whole group enjoys a dinner at a good seafood restaurant.

Faculty Information:
Your teacher for Painting Courses: Simona Provinciali was born in Livorno on May 23, 1961. She graduated from Liceo Artistico (School of Arts) and Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze (University of Fine Arts - Florence). Presently she teaches courses at the Pasolini School of Language and Culture in Castiglioncello. She was also in charge collective art shows, and 2001, along with a German psychologist, she held a seminary on creative painting, as the one responsible for the technical aspect. She has also lent her expertise as a Teacher of Art Education at the State Middle and High Schools.
Our friend and sculpturer Maestro Mimmo die Cesare will hold a "Stage di Cultura".

You can take a walk to the new 2.000 seat theatre right next to the castle. Choose from a huge variety of cultural events, from plays to dance shows, from ballets to exhibitions - the theatre has something for everyone.
In summer the Castello turns into a meeting point for artists, actors, and freethinkers from all over the globe. It surely provides fertile ground for many discussions where you can test your newly learned ability to speak Italian. Students of our Italian language school are granted discounted rates for all events taking place at the Castello.

Villa Tuscany
Villa Toscana is the oldest and most beautiful mansion in Castiglioncello. The villa originates from the 16th century and is surrounded by a vast 15.000 qm park with Mediterranean flora. The Campagna, the wild and beautiful Tuscan landscape is right next to the villa. This ideal and quiet setting guarantees our students peace and enough space and time for contemplation even on the busiest of days.
The villa consists of 12 private apartments, each with 2 - 3 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and living room. The apartments are newly furbished and have central heating. Cleanliness and comfort are guaranteed.
The Villa is situated in the center of town on Via della Ragnaia 31. School, Castello, beach, and piazza are within a walking distance of about 7 - 10 minutes. Parking space at the property is available.
Normally, 2 - 4 students share one apartment. Rooms can be booked as singles or doubles. Please note that students traveling on their own can only book single rooms. Two (two single rooms) or more persons traveling together can reserve an apartment without other students.
