Artistic Workshops organized by La Cantoria - Restoration School with almost 20 years of experience in design and provision of courses in conservation and related art techniques.
Workshops are hands-on experiences: perfect in combination with viewing the art around Florence. It can helps one to understand art from another level.
Courses are propaedeutic to the chosen artistic technique, and lessons are mainly practical.
Teachers are highly qualified professionals in their field and enthusiastic teachers who gives time to both group work and individual tuition.
Classes are adapted to the needs of the group or individual requests.
The approach is relaxed and informal and participants will be able to develop their skills and techniques already in a 2 weeks programme.

The part-time schedule of lesson leaves plenty of time to discover Florence and its culture as well as the beautiful surroundings of Chianti hills. All courses can be combined with an Italian Language course.
Faculty Information:
La Cantoria is a professional school founded in 1989 to offer courses in the restoration conservation field. Main activity of the school is represented by provision of long term courses for becoming qualified technician in Restoration and conservation. The school also offer short introductory programs, round the year.
La Cantoria is accredited by Italian authority, as well as it has a quality management system certificate for design and provision of vocational courses in the field of restoration (ISO 9001:2000). Peace of art that the school use as didactic material, is provided by museums, public institution and private collectors. Our teaching staff is composed by professionals with a vast experience in their different fields of restoration or related field of art.
Other Activities:
Visits to main museums of Florence can be arranged during the course.
Wine tastings and vineyard tour can be arranged.
Facility Information:
The Secretary of the school helps participants to find a suitable accommodation in the neighbourhoods of the school: single or double room in apartment to share with other students. The area is served by city busses.
