Why compromise between a top quality total-immersion French course and the beach? Come study French on Guadeloupe, a French-speaking island 300 miles southeast of Puerto Rico. Our school is a minute away from Sainte Anne's Beach, one of the most beautiful on the island.

We have many years experience in studying the learning process and the design of language courses at the standard and intensive levels. Our groups are small, our teachers are highly qualified, and you can enjoy our beautiful Caribbean environment.

Our school is open year round and welcomes students of all levels for program units from 20 to 120 hours, spread out over everything from 2 weeks to 3 months or more. Each program can be adapted to meet your individual objectives.

- General French:

20 hours (semi-intensive) or 30 hours (intensive) a week. Maximum 6 persons per group. The emphasis is on active learning techniques. Because most of our clients have a professional background or professional objectives, our school focuses on French grammar as well as useful, everyday verbal skills. All levels of students participate in interactive workshops where they learn and practice their new French language abilities.

Upon enrollment, students are evaluated for placement in workshops of an appropriate level. Students specify their individual learning needs and the type of French language difficulties they encounter on a routine, daily basis. This information allows us to design each course to meet the each student's unique learning needs.

In the semi-intensive course, at least one workshop per week is dedicated to each student's personal French language problems. In the intensive or one-to-one course, the amount of time dedicated to each student's objectives is increased.

Global workshops usually focus on local Guadeloupe topics. Students learn about a wide variety of political, cultural and economic issues in order to better understand life in the French West Indies while enhancing their French language skills.

With us you will participate in a full cultural immersion during your stay. We offer you a carefully chosen local host family close to our school center, with breakfast and dinner provided or a small independent apartment with locals in a nice setting, generally for 2 persons, with one room, kitchenette, bathroom, terrace and air conditioning. Also we can make hotel reservation for you on request.

Faculty Information:
Christian Aventurin (Managing Director) - master's degree in both Teaching French as a Foreign Language (with a specialty in Computer-Aided Teaching) and in Computer Science. Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Corporate experience as Information Technology Area coordinator for a major multinational petroleum company in the French overseas departments of Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guyana.

Other teachers have master's degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language.

Other Activities:
- A rum distillery, a drummer's workshop, a visit to a Creole garden;
- Excursion on Saturday or Sunday;
- Diving: both beginning and experienced divers will be delighted to discover the magical underwater world of the Cousteau Reserve;
- Water sports: Fly surfing, Windsurfing, canoing, sailing and other sports available in Saint-Anne;
- The open road: car, scooter, bicycle rental;
- Hiking possibilities: Discover the tropical forest and its natural sites on more than 300 km of trails. Don't forget to bring good hiking shoes with you!

We have introduced the latest technology to enhance the efficiency of the time you spend with us. We deliver a clear and informative lesson utilizing interactive multimedia, brilliantly displayed on a Plasma Flat Panel Display, where the imagination is our only limit.

Training materials offered with the possibility to borrow books and tapes. Cheap Internet access is provided to students through our school's Local Area Network.
