- SCUBA Diving in Utila: Utila boasts some of the best and least expensive diving on the entire Earth, especially if you are interested in seeing a whale shark, experience wall diving, or see over 95% of all Caribbean corals in one intellectual adventure, in the experienced hands, of Central American Spanish School.
- Utila Intensive Spanish Program and Beach Options:
* Option #1: Intensive Spanish Program, Private Tutor and Guest house, meals included, private room with shared bath.
* Option #2: Intensive Spanish Program, Private Tutor, HOTEL SERVICE, private room with private bath with hot water and FAN, meals not included.
The tuition cost includes Spanish Instructions with a private tutor for 4 hours each day for 5 days for a total of 20 class hours. The 20 hours of instructions include studies of conversation grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, composition and a diploma upon completion.
Hotel service is for a private room with a private bath with hot water, and fan. Meals are not included with this Option. Food is not included but is readily available, at reasonable prices, in many restaurants, within walking distance of the hotel and the school. There is also a one time application and materials fee of USD$50. The student will receive a Spanish grammar book, vocabulary book, and a workbook. The total cost for the first week will be USD$320. The cost for subsequent weeks will be as stated, in the table above.
- Group Intensive Spanish Programs:
* Option -A- Group Intensive Spanish Program, Home Stay, Private Room With Shared bath and FAN, meals included. This program has the same characteristics as the Individual program, but is given in groups of up to 4 students maximum. The tuition cost includes Spanish Instructions in group of up 4 students maximum. For 4 hours each day for 5 days for a total of 20 class hours. The 20 hours of instructions include studies of grammar, vocabulary, conversation, reading comprehension, composition and a certificate upon completion.
* Option -B- Group Intensive Spanish Program: Hotel Service, Private Room with private bath and fan, meals Included: this program has the same characteristics as the Individual program, but is given in groups of up to 4 students maximum.
Faculty Information:
Our staff consists of select "maestros" (master professors) who are graduates of Honduran universities. Our Spanish programs are popular with business and medical professionals, engineers and research scientists, seeking accelerated and special vocabulary classes. Some students want a better understanding of Spanish to enable them to explore Honduras and other Latin American countries with greater independence.

Option A: Spanish course with diving course, private room with private bath and fan, meals not included. The tuition cost includes Spanish Instructions with a private tutor for 4 hours each day for 5 days for a total of 20 class hours. The 20 hours of instructions include studies of grammar, vocabulary, conversation, reading comprehension, composition and a certificate upon completion.
Our Spanish school, in collaboration with Utila dive shops, can assist the student in scheduling Spanish course work around your dive training. The Spanish class schedule is flexible and can be modified to fit the student’s needs. Spanish instructions are also available on weekends.
Hotel accommodations include a private room, hot water, and fan. Meals are not included with this “ Option A ”. Laundry service, kitchen privileges, and courtesy phone service (USA and Canada collect calls, credit card, without service charge) are also available in the hotel.
