Alicante is a dynamic city, looking toward the open sea while resting on its magnificent harbor, and you can at best observe it from the heights of the Santa Barbara castle where the stones smell of gun powder and History. Iberians, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs, Catalonians and Castilians left cultural, commercial and social marks of their visits.
A province which combines in its unique way the most traditional and the most cosmopolitan, where you will find bustling cities rubbing shoulders with small fishing villages (and their fantastic fish auctions!), cliff-bordered coasts, quiet beaches, unforgettable islands - a true contrast in the best sense.
You will have to take a leisurely walk through the port and down the Explanada de España, where tall palm trees look down on a multitude of outdoor cafés. It leads you to the port, which is also part of the “tapas and copas” area (snacks and drinks). When night falls, the eastern pier turns into one of the liveliest areas, which finds an echo in the vitality of the commercial and leisure center “Panoramis” on the western pier.
COURSES
- Intensive 25
We offer the intensive 25 course from Monday to Friday. It contains 5 periods of 50 minutes per day, 25 hours per week. The intensive 25 course is for all levels and takes place the whole year.
- Intensive 30
It is our intensive 25 course (25 hours per week) combined with one extra hour one-to-one daily.
- One-to-one course
This individual course is aimed at all those who want to improve their linguistic competence in a particularly effective way and in the shortest possible time. At the beginning of the course your teacher will help you to choose your program. You can also decide how many hours a week you wish to book, or even ask to share your course with another student. Private lessons can also be taken in addition to other courses.
- Long term course
13 weeks of intensive 25 course (25 hours per week).
- DELE 30
This formula prepares the student for the DELE exam (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) of the Cervantes Institute. It consists of 25 hours’ course/week + 5 extra hours in a reduced group (1 to 5 students) dedicated to exam preparation. A tutor supervises these extra hours and attends to every student’s specific needs. Exam fees are not included in the price.
- Course for teachers
This course is aimed at Spanish teachers who wish to perfect their level of Spanish as well as to improve their didactic dexterity and their methodology. The course lasts 2 weeks, consists of 25 hours per week and takes place on: March 21st / June 4th / August 22nd
- Combined course
This formula enables you to start your course in one city and to continue in a different one while following the same program.
The levels
Beginner - especially for students without any previous knowledge of the Spanish language. Our objective is to be enable you to make yourself understood in simple everyday life situations.
Elementary - at this level participants already possess a basic vocabulary and some knowledge of grammatical structures. Vocabulary and grammar will be further extended so that you will be able to take part in simple conversations.
Intermediate - the intermediate level is aimed at students who are confident with basic grammatical structures. The emphasis is on more complex structures such as the past tenses and the subjunctive. Course participants will be encouraged to participate in more sophisticated conversations.
Advanced - this level is for those students who possess a sound knowledge of Spanish grammar and wish to further extend this knowledge by putting their skills into practice. The course will enable you to express yourself confidently in daily as well as in work situations.
Superior - for students who can already communicate in the Spanish language with a high level of accuracy. We will mostly deal with topics related to Spain and will put the emphasis on active communication, clarifying grammatical questions in their context.
Our aim is to bring you closer to the Spanish language and culture so that you can improve your knowledge of our language through a direct contact with the country and its people. Our team tries to combine a wide range of activities in the classroom with a vast cultural program outside the school.
