Monthly, weekend acrylic painting workshops in Victoria, British Columbia. These highly successful and popular workshops are facilitated by Brian Simons, a self-taught Canadian artist whose work hangs in numerous corporate and private collections in Canada, the United States and Europe. Brian has also published a 125-full colour ebook based on the techniques of this workshop and has made it available on his website. Both the workshops and ebook course are for anyone over 16yrs and require no previous drawing or painting experience!
Faculty Information:
The artist provides all the written notes for the course as well as the venue, stand up easels, the instruction and the course itself. Participants MUST provide their own supplies (easels provided). A supply list is available on the workshop registration page. Art Stores nearby carry any supplies needed.
Brian Simons has been conducting these workshops for approx. 6 years now with several hundred people participating. He also conducts these same workshops for art groups on the Gulf Islands.
Other Activities:
No other activities arranged with this workshop and participant are required to make their own accommodation, travel and entertainment arrangements.
Facility Information:
The workshops are held in a classroom at the Fairfield Community Place Center near downtown Victoria at a convenient location. A location map is available on the workshop registration page. The workshops run from 9am Saturday to 4 PM with an hour off for lunch and again on Saturday. Local restaurants nearby. (lunch, transportation NOT provided) Coffee, tea, and snacks provided on both days.
Notes:
$11.25 Tax will be charged on all registrations. Payment is due 2 weeks prior to the start of the workshop. No refunds available after the first day of the workshop.
